By Road
If travelling by car, the Argyll Hotel is approximately 120 miles from Glasgow through stunning countryside with views over beautiful lochs to Bellochantuy.
The direct route is by the A82 to Tarbert on Loch Lomond, then the A83 through Inverary, Lochgilphead and Campbeltown.
By Road and Ferry
From Glasgow to *Gourock around 29 miles, then a ferry across the Firth of Clyde to Dunoon. There is then a amazing drive around 28 miles to *Portavadie, then another ferry across the Sound Of Bute to Tarbert, then its just a 28 mile trip down the costal road of Kintyre with stunning views to Bellochantuy.
* Due to the frequency of the ferry sailings and the short distance between the ports, this is first come first sail basis, hence you can not book these ferries online.
By Bus
From Glasgow there is a regular three times daily bus service available. Usual journey times are approximately 4½ hours.
By Air
There are four flights a day from Glasgow to Campbeltown airport at Machrihanish, Monday through to Friday. The flights are booked through British Airways and operated by Loganair.
